Back in the land of the living....

All apologies for recent disappearance. The walk and too many other things seem to have completely taken over my life in the past few months. Now I'm back to normal service I hope.

Of course this is hugely expensive if you need everything - but a great way to make a vat of the stuff if your bottle of Cointreau is gathering as much dust as mine. I'm sure I could dig out some vermouth and gin too.... well worth a go.... been meaning to invest in some Angostura bitters for years!

The Thrift Book:

I am totally in awe of this brilliant book - I haven't written a book report for a number of years (so I won’t – just follow the Amazon link – other people are better at that stuff than me) then - buy it. I LOVE India Knight's sharp, witty, thought provoking and engrossing column in The Times and follow it regularly online - but she's done it. She's outshone all my ideas and put them into one brilliant book. Now out in paperback for less than the price of a large glass of Chablis at C&B.
